Located at 1 Summit Avenue in Center City, Minnesota, this is the church at the end of Grumpy Old Men where Jack Lemmon's character gets married. The above photo is how the exterior of the church looked in the film. Below is how it looked in 2014.
The interior of the church is beautiful and was used for the interior shots of the wedding scene as well. Above is a still from the film. Below you can see the altar has changed slightly since the movie was shot.
Again, the photo above is from the film and the photo below is from 2014.
Ariel and John leave in the limo (above) and you can see the street as it looks in 2014 (below). This is Main Street, right next to the church. A good way to compare is to match up the street lights and telephone poles.
I actually work at this church. They even used some of our banners in the filming also - which we still have. There's a prominent green "He Is Risen" banner that we still use for Easter every year that Jack Lemmon's character passes as he's on his way up to the front (a play on the way the film editing suggests his death obviously). Fyi the altar hasn't been changed at all since filming - it may have just looked different as it had a different parament on it (cloth hanging). We actually shot a documentary last year to celebrate our 160th year. You can check out a preview on youtube:

Feel free to visit again sometime!
If I am ever in this area I hope to look these places up. I just watched the movie last night and loved it. Any movie with Ann Margret is a favourite of mine.
