The Saint Paul Hotel - "Jingle All the Way" Filming Location - St. Paul, MN

The Saint Paul Hotel was used as the backdrop for a scene in "Jingle All the Way." You can see Arnold and Sinbad running down West 5th Street with the hotel behind them. Below is how that spot appeared in June of 2015.

360 Wabasha Street - "Jingle All the Way" Filming Location - St. Paul, MN

I didn't know what else to name it, but during a scene in "Jingle All the Way," Arnold is chasing after a Turbo Man action figure and he is seen exiting 360 Wabasha Street in St. Paul, Minnesota. Above is a still from the film; below is the same location in January of 2015.

Mickey's Diner - St. Paul, MN

Located at 36 West 7th Street in St. Paul, Minnesota, Mickey's Diner is one of the most iconic locations in the state. It was opened in 1937 and has remained opened all day, every day, since. In 1983, Mickey's was added to the National Register of Historic Places. This diner was also used in filming such movies as "Jingle All the Way" and "Mighty Ducks."

Minnesota Children's Museum - "Jingle All the Way" Filming Location - St. Paul, MN

Located at 10 7th Street West in St. Paul, Minnesota is the Minnesota Children's Museum. In the above still from the 1996 film "Jingle All the Way," you can see Arnold Schwarzenegger walking into the museum as he searches for a Turbo Man action figure. Below is the museum in January of 2015.

"Jingle All the Way" Filming Locations - Falcon Heights Elementary (Part 2) - Falcon Heights, MN

In a previous post, I took photos of the exterior of Falcon Heights Elementary, which is seen in the opening credits of "Jingle All the Way." I wanted to go inside the school to see if the interiors were also shot there, but it was during the school year and I didn't want to deal with security issues. So, in July of 2014, I snuck into the school during summer hours and sure enough, they used the interiors too. The above photo is a stll from the film; below in 2014.

State Theater - "Jingle All the Way" Filming Location - Minneapolis, MN

Located at 805 Hennepin Avenue, The State Theater in downtown Minneapolis was used in the filming of "Jingle All the Way." The above photo is how it appeared in the film; below in 2014.

Santa Warehouse - "Jingle All the Way" Filming Location - Minneapolis, MN

Located at 40 Power Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this is the location in "Jingle All the Way" where all of the fake Santas hid the bootleg gifts. The above photo is a still from the film; below in 2014.

For the longest time, I assumed the door where they had the secret knock was done in a Hollywood set...I was wrong. As you can see in the above still from the film, part of the door was false but the integrity of the structure remains. The below photo is the same door in 2014.

Energy Park Studios - St. Paul, MN

The Hmong College Prep Academy, formerly Energy Park Studios, was used as a sound stage for several films including "Jingle All the Way," Mystery Science Theater 3000," "Drop Dead Gorgeous," and "Grumpier Old Men." This location can be found at 1515 Brewster Street in St. Paul, Minnesota.

 Located at 4313 Upton Avenue South in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this is part of the montage in the film "Jingle All the Way" where Arnold's character is scrambling to find a gift for his son. The above photo is how the location looked in the film. Below is how it appeared in 2014.

Arnold's House - "Jingle All the Way" Filming Location - Edina, MN

This location took me quite awhile to find. However, thanks to Google Earth and and little foresight, I found the filming location used for Arnold's neighborhood in "Jingle All the Way." It can be found on the cul-de-sac of Bruce Place in Edina, Minnesota.

"Jingle All the Way" Filming Locations - Falcon Heights Elementary (Part 1) - Falcon Heights, MN

Located at 1393 Garden Avenue West in Falcon Heights, Minnesota, this is the elementary school used in the film. The above shot was how the exterior shot of the school appeared in the film and the below shot is how the school looks in 2014.

"Jingle All the Way" Filming Locations

Located on Upton Avenue South in Minneapolis, this stretch of little shops was the backdrop for an Arnold/Sinbad confrontation.

These are the same shops in 2014.

Located at 2803 West 43rd Street in Minneapolis, the exterior of the Zumbro Cafe is where Arnold backed into the police motorcycle.

This is the location as it looks in 2014. The Zumbro Cafe is still in operation.

The final location in this area is supposed to be across the street from where he tipped over the motorcycle. 

In actuality this location is down the street to the east of the Zumbro Cafe, located at 2730 West 43rd Street. This is as it appears in 2014.

Mall of America - Bloomington, MN

The Mall of America has been used for filming in Mall Cops TV series as well as feature films such as Jingle All the Way and the Mighty Ducks Trilogy.
