Salem Common - "Hocus Pocus" Filming Location - Salem, MA

The Witch House - Salem, MA

 

The infamous Witch House of Salem, Massachusetts is the only remaining structure from the original Salem Witch Trials. It was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin, one of the judges who presided over the trails. You can find it at 310 Essex Street.

Engine House Pizza - "Lords of Salem" Filming Location - Salem, MA

 

Engine House Pizza was used as a filming location in Rob Zombie's movie "Lords of Salem." The top image is a still from the film; below in June of 2023. You can find it at 71 Lafayette Street in Salem, Massachusetts. 

Salem Witch Museum - Salem, MA

 

All I can say is just take the tour. It's archaic, morbid, and a ton of fun. This former church is now the home of where the witch trial history in the United States is being preserved. It is a lot of fun. You can find it at 19 1/2 North Washington Square in Salem, Massachusetts.

Roger Conant Statue - Salem, MA

 

Roger Conant was the founder of Salem, Massachusetts. This eerie statue can be found at 2 Brown Street in Salem.

Bewitched Statue - "Lords of Salem" Filming Location - Salem, MA

 

The Bewitched Statue has become synonymous with Salem, but did you know it also appeared in Rob Zombie's film "Lords of Salem?" The top image is a still from the film; below in June of 2023. You can find it near 235 Essex Street in Salem, Massachusetts.

John Ward House - Salem, MA

This National Historic Landmark was built by leather dresser John Ward between 1684 and 1732. Typical of a First Period house, the building has a steep pitched roof with a large central chimney, an overhanging second floor and casement windows with lead glass.

 

Old Town Hall - "Hocus Pocus" Filming Location - Salem, MA

Located at 32 Derby Square in Salem, Massachusetts is Old Town Hall. This building was used for exterior shots in Rob Zombie's "Lords of Salem," but most recognized for its contribution to the movie "Hocus Pocus." In the top image, you can see a still from "Hocus Pocus" - this is where Max and Dani's parents went on Halloween night for the big "I'll put a spell on you" party. The bottom image is the same location in June of 2023.

Phillips Elementary School - "Hocus Pocus" Filming Location - Salem, MA

Phillips Elementary School closed in 1992, but it was used for scenes of the high school in "Hocus Pocus." The top image shows a still from film as Mary, Winifred, and Sarah look on. Below is the same location in June of 2023. You can find it at 86 Essex Street in Salem, Massachusetts.

Max & Dani's House - "Hocus Pocus" Filming Location - Salem, MA

 

Many of the most pivot scenes in the classic film Hocus Pocus take place here at Max and Dani's home, which can be found at 10 Ocean Avenue in Salem. The top image is a still from the film, and below is the same location in June of 2023.

Pioneer Village - "Hocus Pocus" Filming Location - Salem, MA

This is a tricky location for you Hocus Pocus lovers. Pioneer Village is an active tourist location, meant to resemble Salem in 1630. It was used as the village (seen above) where Thackery and Emily resided. The problem is this place is only open ion weekends and I visited them on a Monday.
