Glenbrook North High School was used for the scene where Mr. Rooney and Sloan are waiting for Sloan's father in the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." You can see Mr. Rooney standing at the top of the stairs in the still above. Below is the same spot in August of 2015.

The Save Ferris water tower, as shown in the above still from the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," is located in downtown Northbrook, Illinois. The lettering stayed on the water tower for many years but was eventually painted over. Below is how the water tower looked in August of 2015.
