Hubbard Woods Park - "Home Alone" Filming Location - Winnetka, IL

One of the most notorious scenes in the film "Home Alone" is where Kevin unintentionally steals a toothbrush from a pharmacy and is chased across a skating rink by a police officer. A police officer begins to chase Kevin in the park and is accidentally tripped by one of the skaters, shown in the still above. That is the pharmacy in the background that Kevin took the toothbrush from. Below is the same spot in 2015.

The McCallister Residence - "Home Alone" Filming Location - Winnetka, IL

This is definitely another filming location I had on my bucket list to visit. The "Home Alone" house is one of the most recognizable houses in America. While I was there during a random weekday, three other cars pulled up to take photos. Above is a still from the movie showing the exterior of the house (yes, interiors were also shot here). Below is the same location in August of 2015. The address is 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, Illinois.

Directly across the street is the house Marv and Harry burglarize. In the still above from the movie, Marv and Harry begin to pull out of the neighbor's driveway and almost hit Kevin. Below is the same location in 2015. You can find this house at 656 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka.

Rooney Searches for Ferris - "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" Filming Location - Winnetka, IL

As Principal Rooney searches for Ferris in the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," he stumbles upon this quaint, Dutch-looking section of Winnetka, Illinois. Above is a still from the film; below is the same location in August of 2015.

Kevin Buys Groceries - "Home Alone" Filming Location - Winnetka, IL

The Grand Food Center was used for the scenes in the film "Home Alone" where Kevin was grocery shopping. This place has been completely re-modeled since the filming. Tia Walks Home - "Uncle Buck" Filming Location - Winnetka, IL

In the film "Uncle Buck," the character Tia gets into an argument with her boyfriend, Bug, and decides to walk home from a party. Her Uncle Buck goes driving around looking for her and spots her on the side of the road. In the still above from the film, you can see Tia walking as Buck's car approaches. Kevin Talks with Santa - "Home Alone" Filming Location - Winnetka, IL
