The McCallister Residence - "Home Alone" Filming Location - Winnetka, IL

This is definitely another filming location I had on my bucket list to visit. The "Home Alone" house is one of the most recognizable houses in America. While I was there during a random weekday, three other cars pulled up to take photos. Above is a still from the movie showing the exterior of the house (yes, interiors were also shot here). Below is the same location in August of 2015. The address is 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka, Illinois.

Directly across the street is the house Marv and Harry burglarize. In the still above from the movie, Marv and Harry begin to pull out of the neighbor's driveway and almost hit Kevin. Below is the same location in 2015. You can find this house at 656 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka.

Below is the same location in August of 2015. You can find it at 2602 Lincoln Street in Evanston, Illinois.

And directly across the street is where Buck shows up to the wrong house and wakes up all of the neighbors. Above is a still from the film; below is 2015. You can find it at 2609 Lincoln Street in Evanston.

The Crain Communications Building was used many times in the film "Adventures in Babysitting." You can see the building in the still above: it's the one with the slanted roof top. This is the same building where the parents' party was supposed to have taken place in the end of the movie. Below is how the building appeared in August of 2015. You can find it at 150 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

Glencoe Union Church - "Sixteen Candles" Filming Location - Glencoe, IL

The drunken wedding is one of my favorite scenes in the film "Sixteen Candles." In the above still from the film, you can see the bride, Ginny, exiting the church. Below is the same location in August of 2015.

After the wedding party leaves, Jake rushes to find Samantha as you can see in the still above from the film. Below is the same location in 2015. You can find this church at 263 Park Avenue in Glencoe, Illinois.
