The Waco Tragedy - Mt. Carmel Center - Waco, TX

I visited this location in August of 2021. All that was asked of me was a $5 donation, which I gave with no hesitation. I want you to look through these photos really well. Above is the new chapel buildt where the front of the larger complex stood before it burned down. The original flag pole remains.

Quick Hill - "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)" Filming Location - Round Rock, TX

 

Without a doubt, the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" film is one of the scariest of all time. I made sure to seek out this location of where the original house once stood, as well as where the road where the final chase scene happened. 

The old road and area where the Sawyer house was is almost unrecognizable here in 2021, but some remnants remain. I would encourage you to visit this location as soon as possible as there is a lot of construction going on around it, and this site will no doubt disappear in the coming years. It is fenced off and labeled "private property." You can find it directly south of the Camden La Frontera Apartments in Round Rock, Texas.

Top Notch Hamburgers - "Dazed & Confused" Filming Location - Austin, TX

 

Top Notch Hamburgers was used quite a bit in the 1993 hit film, "Dazed & Confused." It was also used in the film, "Varsity Blues" for one scene. The top image is a screen shot from "Dazed & Confused"; the bottom is the same location in August of 2021. You can fin d it at 7525 Burnet Road in Austin, Texas.

On Set Cinema Presents: "Children of the Corn" - Whiting, IA

 

On Saturday, July 17th, 2021, I made the trip to Whiting, Iowa to watch the film right by the infamous flag pole, where some major scenes in the original "Children of the Corn" movie were filmed. The above image is some of the original "children" reuniting at the flag pole itself.

Tommy Doyle's House - "Halloween 6" Filming Location - Salt Lake City, UT

Paul Rudd played the ever-cautious Tommy Doyle in "Halloween 6." His house (actually Mrs. Blankenship's house - Tommy just lived upstairs) is located directly across the street from the Myers house. The above image is a still from the film; below is the same spot in June of 2021. You can find it at 956 Ramona Avenue in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Flintstones Bedrock City - Williams, AZ

If you find yourself in the Grand Canyon area, I highly suggest you pull off the highway and visit Bedrock City. This Flintstones-themed roadside attraction is certainly worth the stop!

Myers House - "Halloween 6" Filming Location - Salt Lake City, UT

 

Located at 1926 Lincoln Street in Salt Lake City, Utah is the Michael Myers house from "Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers." The top image is a still from the film; bottom is the same location in June of 2021.
