"The Walking Dead" is currently one of television's biggest shows. On a business trip this week, I was able to find the town used as the fictional 'Alexandria' on the show. They use real houses in a real neighborhood in Senoia, Georgia. Above are three stills from the show. Below is as close as I could get to it because, when I was there three days ago, they were filming. It was still a very cool experience.
The homes that they used for Rick and his group, Jessie and her family, Aaron and Eric, and a few other Alexandria residents including the Infirmary were all built for production but those homes and building will be up for sale once filming is complete for Alexandria scene. Any homes you don't see the inside of are currently owned but the residence are put up in a hotel during filming including the owners who live in the Monroe townhouse, which is the only actual home to someone where filming has been used inside.
