F-101 Jet on a Stick - Proctor, MN

"At 71 feet long, mounted nearly 20 feet off the ground, this F-101 jet was dedicated as memorial on July 4, 1974, in memory of captains James Verville and Sherman Gonyea of the local 148th Fighter Group. The two officers were killed on December 17, 1971, when they crashed while taking off on a routine training flight." - RoadsideAmerica.com
