Lowell Park - "Grumpier Old Men" Filming Location - Stillwater, MN
Lowell Park in Stillwater, Minnesota was used as the location of the Oktoberfest celebration in "Grumpier Old Men." In the above still, Jacob approaches the river during an argument with Melanie. Below is the same spot in August of 2014.
In the above still, Melanie and Jacob continue to argue. The bridge behind Jacob's head connects Minnesota with Wisconsin. Below is the same spot in 2014.
I also took the above image. This is the location where the polka music and dancing would have been happening in the film. This is the main area of Lowell Park.

Fulton's Alley - "D3: Mighty Ducks 3" Filming Location - Minneapolis, MN
Charlie's mom stops to drop him off in the still above. You can see the background hasn't changed much in the 2014 image below. This alley is located behind an all-brick apartment complex on South 10th Street near the 700 block.
In the still above, Charlie gets out of the car and walks over to Fulton, who is practicing slap-shots in the alley. Below is the same spot in 2014.
Charlie and Fulton are discussing hockey in the still above as they wait for Goldberg; below is the same spot in 2014. As you can see in the above still, the wall and windows behind Fulton were fake and put there for the production of the film.
If you visit this location just be aware that this is a shady neighborhood. I wouldn't suggest visiting it at night.

Kirby Puckett's Former Home - Plymouth, MN
Located at 4235 Minnesota Lane North in Plymouth, Minnesota, this is the former home of Minnesota Twins great, the late Kirby Puckett. As of August 2014, there is still the full-sized blue basketball court with the initials "KP" mid-court still in the backyard, which is visible on Google Earth. As I type this, the home is currently for sale and the owner is asking $850,000 for the property. 90% of the homes in Puckett's former neighborhood are worth half that price.

The opening credits of the film were shot on the football field on the south end of the school. Above is a still from the film; below in August of 2014.
Yes, Kathy Bates was in "Angus," as you can see from the still above. Behind the marching band, you can see the physical building of the school; same spot below in 2014.
Not much has changed near the football field. Observe the letters in the still above on the track spelling out "OWATONNA." Below you can see the exact same letters are there as of August of 2014.
Later in the film, character Rick and his friends sit atop the bleachers as they wait for Troy to show up, as you can see in the still above. Below is the same spot in 2014. These are the bleachers on the west side of the track.

Saint Agnes School - "Joe Somebody" Filming Location - St. Paul, MN
Saint Agnes School, located at 530 Lafond Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota, was the location used for the basketball scene in the 2001 film "Joe Somebody." During my visit, this spot was referred to as "the old gym." Above is a still from the film; below is the same spot in August of 2014.
Above is a still from the film, which was a scene between Tim Allen and Julie Bowen. You can see the gym hasn't changed much in the 2014 photo below. The day I was there, they were doing some moving around of equipment due to construction in another part of the school.
The staff at the school told me the walls were painted yellow for the production of "Joe Somebody" and the school decided to keep it after filming was complete. The two logos above the basketball hoop were also put there by the film crew. I must say, this gym did have a certain kind of charm to it.

I'd like to thank the staff at Saint Agnes for sharing their stories from the film with me and letting me take photos of the gym. I really appreciate it!
